THE OFFSPRING, INCUBUS, and many more.

Soundwave 08 gets set to make some noise across the country in February and March next year!

This summer is set to be a scorcher and we are not talking global warming!

After several years in Perth and its debut in Brisbane and Sydney last  year, the 2008 edition of Soundwave Festival is gearing up  to make some noise across the nation with shows in all 5 states.

Soundwave is about introducing Australian fans to great new bands, but it does not mean holding back on the big names. We are pleased to announce a diverse line-up of 40 acts headed by 3 of the world's legendary exponents of rock: The Offspring, Incubus and Alexisonfire.

Of course a band like The Offspring needs no introduction. Hailing from Orange County, California The Offspring have released seven studio albums, one compilation, three EPs and several DVDs, selling over 32 million albums worldwide making them one of the best-selling bands of all time. The Offspring is currently in the studio recording their as-yet-untitled eighth studio album with producer Bob Rock and "a fistful of demos". Last seen on our shores in 2004, The Offspring will be armed with new songs as well as their long list of classics for you to throw your fist in the air and chant along too as they headline Soundwave 2008.

Soundwave are equally excited to be bringing out California alt-rockers Incubus. Taking time off from touring in late 2004, Incubus had the chance to unpack their suitcases for the first time in a good part of decade! It was during this downtime that the band were able to explore their individual artistic endeavors, before coming together to craft what is arguably their most worthy album to date, 2006's 'Light Grenades'. Now back on the road and at the peak of their craft as performers, Incubus are thrilled to be playing in front of their Aussie fans again.

The supporting cast may be too many to extrapolate on individually, but collectively they form the cream of today's crop of exciting, fresh and must-see performers.

Notable amongst these are Motion City Soundtrack whose brand new album, Even If It Kills Me is setting new standards for fan and critical acclaim.

Plain White T's, whose current single 'Hey There Delilah' is sitting  proudly at the #1 spot on the iTunes charts selling over one million downloads, and their first major label album 'Every Second Counts' sitting comfortably at #15. For almost a decade, the Plain White T's have been playing to packed audiences craving for that perfect pop-punk punch. Their journey, which began in a small suburban basement, has taken the band to America's Warped Tour three times, landed them opening slots for bands like Jimmy Eat World and AFI, and now finds the high-energy five-piece set to rock out in a big way across Australia for Soundwave 08.
